Ingredients

  • 2 cups brewed green tea regular or decaffeinated
  • ¼ cup thawed strawberries sliced
  • ¼ cup thawed dragon fruit diced
  • ¼-1/2 cup creamy coconut milk
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Glass

Method

Step 1: Brew the Green Tea
  1. Start by brewing your green tea. You can use tea bags or loose leaf. For a stronger flavor, steep for 5-7 minutes. Once brewed, allow it to cool completely.
Step 2: Prepare the Fruits
  1. While your tea cools, take your strawberries and dragon fruit. If you froze them, thaw them in a bowl. Slice the strawberries and dice the dragon fruit into small pieces. They add bursts of flavor and beautiful color to your refresher.
Step 3: Blend the Ingredients
  1. In a blender, combine the strawberries, dragon fruit, and one cup of your cooled green tea. Blend until smooth. Feel free to add more tea if you like a thinner consistency.
Step 4: Add Coconut Milk and Sweetener
  1. Pour in the coconut milk, honey or agave syrup, lime juice, and vanilla extract. Blend again until everything is well-mixed. You can tweak the sweetness to your liking.
Step 5: Serve with Ice
  1. Fill your glass with ice cubes. Pour your refreshingly bright mixture over the ice. Garnish with a slice of lime or a few whole strawberries if you’re feeling fancy.

Notes

  • Use Fresh Ingredients: Fresh fruit tastes better and offers more nutrition. But frozen will still do.
  • Chill Your Tea: A cold tea makes for a refreshing drink. You can even refrigerate your brewed tea the night before.
  • Adjust Sweetness: Start with one tablespoon of honey or agave. You can always add more later!
  • Use Flavored Green Tea: For an extra twist, try using flavored green tea, like peach or raspberry.
  • Mix It Up: Feel free to add other fruits like mango or even herbs like mint for a different flavor profile.
