Step 1: Prepare the Mixture
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey with olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, salt, Dijon mustard, black pepper, mayonnaise, minced garlic, smoked paprika, and chopped parsley. Use your hands to gently mix everything together.
- Do not overwork the meat; you want your burgers to be tender.
Step 2: Form the Patties
- Divide the mixture into four equal parts. Wet your hands slightly to prevent sticking, and shape each portion into a patty about ¾ inch thick.
- Make sure to create a slight indentation in the center of each patty; this helps them cook evenly.
Step 3: Preheat the Grill or Skillet
- If you’re grilling, preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If you’re using a skillet, heat it over medium-high and add a splash of olive oil.
Step 4: Cooking the Burgers
- Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F. The patties should have beautiful grill marks if you're using a grill.
Step 5: Assemble Your Burger
- When the burgers are done, let them rest for a few minutes. Assemble your burgers with your preferred toppings. I love to add lettuce, tomato, and a slice of cheddar cheese.

Notes
- Don’t Overmix: Mix the turkey and seasonings just until combined. Overmixing can lead to tough patties.
- Chill the Patties: If time allows, chilling the patties for 30 minutes helps them hold together better during cooking.
- Use a Meat Thermometer: To avoid any guesswork, use a meat thermometer. It guarantees the burgers are cooked but not dried out.
- Experiment with Flavor: Feel free to tweak the seasonings. Add feta for a Mediterranean twist or BBQ sauce for a smoky flavor.
- Toast the Buns: A quick toast on your burger buns adds a delightful crunch that holds up to juicy toppings.
